One of the reasons I bought a 4Runner was because I am a meteorite hunter when im not at work selling and installing car audio, video, and alarm systems. I needed a reliable 4X4 that I could take into the deserts of So. Cal, Az, Nv and also needed it for a daily driver/ family hauler, and decided on my current 97 SR5. I am looking for mounting ideas for metal detectors in the Runner to keep it from sliding around the rear hatch and also keep it maybe up and out of the way for the rest of the gear i need. So if anyone on here does swing a detector for gold prospecting, beach hunting, or relic hunting, or even meteorites and has any mounting ideas and/or pics of their setups would be greatly appreciated.
