Does this look right?

I did my lower ball joints a few weeks ago. Tie rods were torqued to spec. It looks like there is a gap between the tie rod end boot and connection point. Both sides look about the same.

I'm being serious.

I have mine on the bottom.

Guessing it doesn't really matter either way, but that might explain why he has the "gap" he has. The holes are *slighty* stapered to accomidate the shaft.

If the nut is on the bottom its exposed to rocks, debris when on the trail. Not a good idea to have them out the bottom.

more than slightly. in fact, it shouldn't even be able to go in far enough to get the cotter pin in, if going in from the wrong side.

not to mention, that's dangerous, as its not seating into the taper, so it has virtually no support.
