If he's talking about 17" Tundra/Sequoia split spokes they fit fine without any grinding. Why would wheels that originally came on Tundras not fit Tundra brakes? They bolt right up.

I think he's talking about the stock 16" 4runner rims like I have. There's some other posts about having to do some grinding to make the 231mm brakes fit, which is why I'm just doing 199mm brakes.

That's why I think he's talking about the stock 4Runner wheels (16" split spoke). Otherwise there's no reason to grind OEM brakes for OEM Tundra/Sequoia wheels.
I sell Raybestos pads and rotors at my store and have great success with them. The only comment I have is that if you want a better rotor drop the R off of the part number you move from the Raybestos Professional grade rotors to the Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors and the quality is worth the price difference. As for the pads, PGD ceramic pads wear great and I do not hear many negative comments onthem . Raybestos also sells a ATD pad that is better than the PGD grade pads but I only sell maybe 1 set of those to every 100 of the PGDs.
Decided to stick with the Duralast items, but placed another order using the regular "gold" pads instead of the Cmax ones. Although I could have saved like another $9 by going to the Raybestos stuff from Amazon, I just figured it is worth sticking with the Duralast stuff for the ease of warranty replacements from Autozone. If Amazon would have had the loaded Raybestos calipers in stock (not 1-2 months out), I probably would have gone with them...
So for anyone interested, here's the final product list and cost:
Duralast #C9689 calipers, drivers side $75.99 (+ $30 core)
Duralast #C9688 calipers, pass side $75.99 (+ $30 core)
Duralast #31267 rotors, 2x $53.99

Finally got a chance to get the brake job done! It went pretty well, although one of the calipers had some extra material/flashing around the brake pad area and I couldn't get the pad to slide in. Replaced it with another caliper and it was fine. And for some reason, it took me awhile to get the rotor on the passenger side to sit true on the hub and rotate evenly (that one took awhile to figure out what the heck was going on...)
I also found a broken bolt on the brake line bracket nearest to the wheel, so it took me awhile to drill that out and replace it.
The 199mm calipers were a direct bolt-on, no cutting of the dust shield was necessary. Had some minor rubbing between the rotor and dust shield, but a couple of minutes with the Demel fixed that. The stock split 3-spoke wheels fit fine.
First-time brake job for me - thanks to everyone on this forum for their excellent write-ups and expertise! Now I just gotta figure out a time and place where I can go drive it and do the bedding-in procedure!

I only test drove it around the neighborhood, so they haven't been tested much yet. Felt about the same, but new and smooth...:fro:

Simple instructions, just ordering parts, but the site for your Duralast #31267 rotors are actually: Valucraft/Brake Rotor - Front 53.99. Is this the brand rotor you used or have they changed out the part # at Autozone?

Sorry guys. Yes, I was referring to the 16" 4Runner Split Spoke Wheels. Not really sure how else to describe it though. If you had tried to fit them, it would be obvious where you would need to grind a way a little material on the 231 calipers for the wheels to fit. It's just on the edge of the caliper and wouldn't effect anything. IMO, the 231's are the brakes that should've been in these things from the factory.
