Door Seal

Okay before I get flamed, I've tried searching everywhere but I cannot find anything regarding the rubber door seals between the door and the body. My front passenger side is leaking whenever it rains and there's a big wet mess on the floor. Does anyone know the part number for this? Thanks

Google the part number, a parts diagram should be floating around. These are for the door itself.

Does any one have any experience with changing these seals on the front doors?

I had a search but couldn't find much.

Bit of a nightmare, a van smashed into my door mirror, which folded so far in that it broke the JDM wind deflector, which is attached with industrial adhesive, which required trying a few solvents to remove, which melted the soft foam inner door seal.

I'm going to do this soon on my rear doors that have been damaged by my German Shepherd. I'd also appreciate it if anyone with experience would chime in.

Looking at the very vague parts diagrams, I'd imagine that the little spiky christmas tree fasteners would be enough to hold it in place. You'll probably fubar most of the old ones removing the old weathershield but I'd guess that that's OK because it looks like the new part comes with the fasteners. However.... don't throw the old seal away until you have the new one installed in case you damage a new fastener installing it.

I see some internet references to 3M superweatherstrip adhesive (which is great stuff) but with the spike fasteners, it would seem redundent.

Thanks! I'm still waiting for the parts to arrive from Japan (Not officially sold here) so whenever they arrive I'll try and remember to take some pics.

I just did mine, it is really easy. I followed this guide to release the door panel, there's a section that is located behind it.

Other than that I just removed the door check strap 10mm bolt and move the strap out of the way to fit the new door seal behind it.

The little "Christmas tree" fixings either come out with old seal or are easy to pull out with pliers separately. The new seal does come with them already installed.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was. Just make sure the top is located into the groove so it is seated well and securely. You can manipulate it into place with just finger pressure.

I actually left the old seal just hanging in place until I knew I was done. Then just cut it off.
