Doug Thorley Header Question - V8

I've got a 2007 V8 limited. I've got the headers (in box). I'm starting to hear a ticking sound that I'm guessing is the OEM headers finally making some noise. Not sure yet.

So, my Question:
Is this a drive way task?
1) I understand I have to pull the OEM
2) install DT headers
3) tack weld to new cats, flanges, etc
4) uninstall
5) finish weld
6) finish install
7) enjoy new headers

Am I missing anything? Do I need to rock the engine or anything that's going to cause me loads of trouble?

My Dad and I are considering buying a welder (i've been wanting a tig rig for beer brewing equip anyway) and doing the job. We're reasonably well equipped, can weld etc, but do not have engine hoist... Trying to make sure I'm not missing anything.

The hardest part will be getting the old rusted bolts out. If the manifold bolts snap in the head, you're going to have a load of fun getting in there to drill them out.
