drink a beer, Doctors orders?

I've had two different family members in the last two weeks that were
told by their Dr. to drink a beer.

First my daughter had a baby(yes im now a grandfather) and she has
preclampsia(spellcheck) and some other issue going on, and at her latest
Dr. visit the doctor told her to drink a couple beers to bring her levels down.
I dont remember what levels exactly, but i thought that was kind of weird.

Then, my cousin was recently hurt when he touched live wire and was schocked pretty bad. He did have to have some surgery and stay in the ICU.
He is an alcaholic, and the Dr. told his wife he needs beer so he doesnt have withdrawls.

Exactly what I was thinking. My doctor keeps telling me to stop drinking. The quack. Obviously, he doesn't know that I'm only ever a few beers away from shooting all of the idiots I have to deal with on a daily basis...

After my 3rd kidney stone, my urologist suggested I drink at least 1 beer each day.

My fault for not conveying my sarcasm... It is true that beer simply offsets all of the face palms in a given day.
