Driveshaft needing to be greased=clunking noise?

I've been experiencing a clunking noise from what seemed at first to be the rear suspension from my T4R while going over bumps. I thought my Bilsteins had loosened up, since they had done this once before, but they are tight as can be. My next thought was maybe rear control arm bushings, but they look OK. There is some play in the driveshaft, and I was going to grease it, but the nipple where you grease it has broken off. Could a driveshaft in need of being greased be the cause to my clunking noise?

Definitely, especially if you haven't greased it. You should grease every other oil change or so.
