driving cross country on one oil change ?

hi so just curious if this would be an issue i just got my oil change last month (2000km ago) but next month ill be driving a total of 12,000km in a few weeks span

all highway so question is being that its all highway kms does that put more stress on engine and i should get an oil change mid my trip or can i wait till i come back and do an oil change then

It will be fine assuming you're not towing. Change it when you get home.

The prescribed oil change interval according to the book is 10k miles/16k km so you'll be fine.

12,000kms is roughly 7,500 miles. Plus 2,000kms already on the oil, that's roughly 1242 miles. My 2022 Limited call for 10,000 mile oil changes. You'll be fine, just check the level every few thousand kms, and top up if needed.

I did similar last summer, I chose to do an oil change prior and then when I returned. I figured it couldn't hurt and it's not that much money. But provided you keep an eye on the oil level you should be fine.

When I travel long distances it's more about Peace of Mind for me; before I leave I always do an oil change and check all my fluids. One less thing to think about.

mostly highway speeds will break down oil LESS than stop and go. zero issues going to 10k on highway miles.

Quite a few people have had there synthetic oil tested and many are good well over 15k.

If you can do it before, awesome. If not its not the end of the world.

just make sure to check your oil level once you reach your destination and add if needed.
