Driving lights

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting some auxiliary driving lights for my stock 94 but I'm not sure how I am going to mount them yet... Do you guys have any ideas of how to do it or pictures of ways that you did it yourself?

How big of lights are you looking for? Some of the thinner 55w hella lights should fit on the front edge of your bumper like this guy did.

And if you want, you can always get a bumper and run more/bigger lights.
 
do you still have the brush guard? you may have a few more options if that's the case. it looks like the mounting point on those are a little more centered than the 500's. those are also 9in round

yeah i sure do. I'm looking for lights that will light EVERYTHING up. For off-roading and on road use on the roads i take to go home, it's nice to have a lot of light on the road in my opinion.

Check with the laws. Here in Wisconsin, it is illegal to use off-road lights on roads.
 
My plan for road-lights is to get a set of 55w/110w bulbs. I replaced the sealed beams with PIAA buckets from Low Range, and I'm currently running standard 55w/60w H4s, but once you get the upgraded harness (Low Range has those too) you can run any wattage you want. 55w so your low beams don't blind anybody, then 110w for real light when you need it (like those pitch black canyons or rural roads).

I understand that replacing the sealed-beam with a bucket is not as easy on the second gen as it was for me, but I'd still look into it. Bad-ass lights and a stock appearance are an awesome combo. :)
 
alright so i definitely think i wanna do something along the lines of what mikebontofit or 4runnertank posted! i just wanna run some 6 inch lights like the hella 500's but i just wasnt sure if they would fit or look right just being mounted directly onto the front bumper. Thanks for your guy's input!

ok first off, you're an awful person for leading me to that site. SOOO MANY GOODIES!!! haha! and second off, these are the only ones i found IPF H4 Rectangular Headlamp Insert (820H)
 
Low Range is awesome. They're great guys, very supportive of the local wheeling community, and good prices to boot.

And those are the buckets I have, I don't know why I thought they were PIAA. I've heard folks say they won't work in the second gen, but I don't know why not, I think we share the same headlamp part number. And if the lamp is a slightly different size, a little modding would make those work fine.

mind sending me a photo of your's in your truck? Might help if i can see why they might not. But I'm with you, we share almost everything. ARB bumper for $800, that's a steal!

I'll be moving mine from the old truck to the new one in a couple days, I'll snap some pics. Have you seen BVs headlamp bucket install thread?
