Driving without smart key

Is there any sort of security feature for the smart key? Like disabling the vehicle while driving without it. Or just being SOL on restart? Thanks

It beeps at you. Other than that you're just SOL on restart like you mentioned.

Yep been there, done that. Having to call wife and starting the call with "Ummm, can you bring your purse back here?..."

Its much worse when she has a load of groceries.

I don't remember if you can lock the car either. I remember one of my vehicles if you lock the doors with the switch it will unlock the doors when you close the door if you don't have the key with you.

There is also an amber broken key symbol on the left part of the display. But otherwise you can drive away without it, sadly I learned this the hard way. Or should I say my wife did, which resulted in me learning the even harder way...
