Great product if you want block your view out of your side rear windows. I can see this being very useful for the camping crowd. However, No I like to see out all my windows and have no need for these at time. ;-)

$400 DAMN. I’m glad I went back to college and got my certz in Manufacturing. I made so much stuff for my truck and learned a lot to do and make my own stuff. Honestly the hardest part of making the product is writing a program for it for the water jet or CNC laser table. Gude stuff

Agreed. The title of the thread probably isn't doing itself any favors though. We should just be grateful there are manufacturers making new custom products for a vehicle that is ~20 years old. Still waiting on one of these small businesses to make a cat protection plate :thumb:

unfortunately, not everyone of use own a CNC in their garage.

Glad they make the product for the one that want to purchase it, maybe they could also make a cheaper, thinner less heavy duty version at a lower price.

learning curve started last century 78, keep up or left behind.

I have had one on my drivers side for a few years now and never once has it blocked my view.

My complaint about this rack is the top mounting points. I found from experience that a small rivnut into the thin sheet metal is sketchy and I already had on start to pull out with not even that much weight on rack. I had to reinforce it and its been fine since. Just a warning to others.

No hate here on the product itself, the the product is good and it works for some people. I personally wouldn’t be able to use that in my truck because of my setup. Making products for any car/truck is a hard thing to do. There’s a lot of steps to take and a lot of scraping metal if you don’t get it right. Metal is not cheap now days with their prices just got bumped up again. Then the time to write your program and test that out making sure your speeds and feeds are correct and last is making sure you don’t crash that machine while talking your first pass.
