finally finished the CB radio install

finishd up the cb radio install this weekend, i got tired of trying to fit it in the ashtray spot and just put it under the steering wheel. there were a ton of extra wires from the aftermarket radio and it was gonna be too big of a pain to put it there. also the signal isnt coming in very well so im gonna have to figure out what the issue is there. i got a splitter that connects the antenna to the cb and the fm radio because my stock radio antenna stopped working. Im going to install the PA speaker this weekend as well.

The clear corners came with the truck but the cb i put in myself. I was planning on doing a write up about it but forgot to. Ill try to put it up in the next day or so. But it was pretty easy to install and not too expensive (about $100 for everything online), the only hard part was running the coax to the back of the car. But ill try to put in the write up how I did that. I also put in a PA speaker to go with it, definitely worth it because its cheap and easy to hook up.

I think all blacked out it would look great.

Yeah I've thought about it not sure if I want to go for the all blacked out look or not. I would have to dip the rims, grille and emblems.

Some Random pictures from the past few months






Also, after plasti dipping the rocker panels it started to all peel off where people would step to get in. I thought it would be a good idea to replace just the bottom where people step in with grip-tape. It looked really good and the grit made it look more aggressive. Then the first time my friend slid out of my car and started gushing blood I realized it wouldn't work. So I just ended up spray painting it black for now.

Just realized that I haven't posted on here in a while. I sold my 4Runner in May of 2014 and purchased a GMC Sierra.

Here's the last picture I got of my 4runner, with my new truck.



I've been working on building it over the past year or so. I still miss my 4runner every day though.

Well after 4 years, I am back in a 4Runner! Say hello to my new 2010 Trail Edition!



She came with a lot of modifications already added! Was planning on buying a stock trail and building it myself, but this one came with the suspension I would have purchased so I went with it to save some $$$. I am pumped to be back in a 4Runner! Hopefully I can get a new build thread going soon.
