Hi guys, based on all of the information and quotes/estimates that I have received so far, I feel very confident to say that the cost will come in at no more that $1k. Unfortunately I have learned that there are a lot of variables that are making getting a set quote more complicated. I am looking for 9 people who are willing to commit for NO MORE than $1k, so I can actually present a set of info to the US forwarder for a final quote. I'm planning on 10 beige, unless I can get 5 gray commits and 4 beige commits in a hurry, so they can update the invoice.
Please SERIOUS people only. This is a HUGE purchase that I will likely have to make at the time of accepting the contract and relying on the words of members. Of course, I will not make payment until I have the commits, and I don't expect you to pay until I provide the final cost to each of you, given that it falls under $1k as agreed upon. I will accept paypal.
The first 9 to commit will get priority. Any above that will be placed on deck if something catastrophic comes up. After you have paid and the product is on its way, I cannot refund you if you decide to pull out. Please arrange with one of the people on deck to take over your payment.

I'm currently trying to work out details with a RTT manufacturer in China to see if I can become and importer of their tents. I've got a minimum order quantity of 10 tents to receive discounting on manufacturing and wholesale costs, but that hasn't been finalized. To be honest, I'm a noob when it comes to importing though, and will still need to determine customs costs etc. From what I can tell though, we could potentially get a tent and annex for a really great price.
I am trying to have the goods shipped to the Port of Baltimore, Maryland. They are willing to ship to the port of Baltimore...it will take approx 35 days.
I'm now trying to determine what it will take to clear customs and the best way to get these tents to you all. Prices coming soon hopefully!
Right now, I'm not trying to get firm commits since I don't have final pricing, but I'm trying to gauge if there would be enough interest for a bulk order. As soon as I have finalized details with the manufacturer, I will post pricing and then start taking a firm list of commits.

[*]Once it's in the Port of Baltimore, I was quoted approx $1050 to have ALL tents cleared and sent to my home in Frederick County MD. I do not believe this to be the most cost effective or efficient way, so I've asked for another quote where they will bring the tents to their warehouse and we can pick it up. I;m still waiting to hear if they are ok with that and how much that would cost. They do charge a nominal storage fee, so picking up as soon as you can would be important.
