The only off roading I've done is on the sand in the Avon/Buxton area. Would love to get on some trails sometime soon, just don't have any idea where to go at this point.

Nice. There are some off road areas here in Hampstead that I took my previous truck on. Fairly mild stuff for the most part. You can veer off and get into some more technical/mudding type stuff as well.

The public hunting grounds out here have a super long (over 10 miles I htink) dirt road with a bunch of trails off of them. Can't remember the name, but I'll find out. Some good scenery out that way too.

I agree, Hampstead is a lot closer than Hatteras, and a different type of off roading....

I’m in Wilmington. Check out the Carolina 4Runners Off-road Group. We just had a big get together at Fort Fisher. ~50 vehicles.
