Anyone else buy these?

I started to install them but couldn't help but notice the provided lugs only get half bite or so, about 5.5 full turns. What studs are you replacing them with to get more?

I have no first hand knowledge of wheel spacers, but if that was my car I would get a set of regular nuts and use the acorn nut on the tire to spacer instead of spacer to rotor.

If the spacer is beveled to use acorn nuts, I would not use the spacers with only half of the threads engaged. In other words, I would send them back.

It's like your studs are not long enough for some reason. Spacers I have, nut sits just inside the spacer about the same depth distance as your picture and the stud is at the end of the nut to where no threads are show on it.

I wouldn't run them like that!

If that thing goes, that is going to be catastrophic, so be cautious and trust your gut.

Spend a few extra bucks and get proven spacers.

I had similar eBay spacers thrown in with mine when I bought it from the owner. Theose spacers didn't have the reputation for fitting Toyotas well. I sold them for top dollar on ebay and got Spidetrax. I sleep well at night.

Trust your instincts.

I thought about getting some eBay spacers, but ended up going with spidertrax instead. I wouldn't trust that little of thread engagement.

I would measure the hole inside diameter and outside diameter and see if the all-pro et studs fit. i use them with my all pros and the only problem with them is you need a thin wall SAE socket for them.

Yeah, I'm not running them like that for sure. It does say that your studs need to be at least 1 inch to install them, mine measure about 3/4. They fit the hub like they should, so I'm not sure what more I can expect from spidertrex but my wallet being much lighter. I read on the tacoma forum you can switch to IS300 studs or Toyota matrix studs to get the extra length. Guess I'll try that....:mmph:

So in total, how much will you spend on these spacers & longer studs vs. a known brand spacer?

I would buy longer studs and be done with it, wouldn't think there would be any difference than the expensive ones. Other than maybe being milled out of solid aluminum instead of the other

I still don't understand why people bring up a "name brand" spacer. Am I missing what else it does other than a piece of 1.25 inch aluminum that is between your rotor and wheel? Not being a wise ass.. if someone knows, I'm all ears.

$157 for the set and it looks like the extended lug nuts will fit, so .75 each x 24 = $18. Not sure on shipping, but call it 10 bucks. $185 vs $400

$157 for the set and without really shopping around extended IS 300 studs are $175 for 5 sets. $332 vs $400. Matrix studs are cheaper at 36 for enough to change them all, so $193 plus 10 or so shipping for the studs. ~200 vs 400

I had the same spacers, had the same issue with the studs. I ran them but put red locktite and didn't have any problems. But I also had second thought about it. I know have correct offset wheels.

Nice find! Not sure they can call them TRD without getting in trouble from Toyota, but look good and great price. :hat: If they become available again... I was wondering why I didn't find them.

I have put these on my friends tacoma when I lifted it. I liked them better then the all pros cause they are over built. They are nice and I have tried most spacers out there. It's a piece of metal and the only problem would be the quality of the studs. If you know how to use an Air gun and a torque wrench you won't have a problem. But, most people break stuff and blame the wrong thing.

Final update on this. I ended up buying new stock lug studs from a 2004 matrix, 55mm long, and switched them out. The additional 15mm gave plenty of extra bite. All good now. :yo:
