EGR Superguard vs AVS Bugflector II

If you have either of these can you chime in? The EGR is what Burtman sells. Although you can get the guard off eBay for only $59 (a lot cheaper than what he sells it for). The AVS is $49 from AutoAnything. So price doesn't matter....I just want to know which one people prefer.

Oh, forgot about the WeatherTech one. So: EGR vs AVS vs Weathertech

I have the AVS Bugflector 2. When I researched them, all the big names (Lund, AVS, Weathertech) all got good reviews, so I think any of them are a good choice. I am sure the EGR that Burtman sells is fine, but I would never pay $100 for one. I think I paid about $60 at carquest. The weathertech one I liked alot, but it was quite a bit more expensive.

I would just go with the cheapest one you can get, because the added value of the more expensive ones doesn't seem to be worth it (as in, I don't really see any added value for the added cost).

Here's the Bugflector 2 on mine:

I like the AVS one also and I'm on my 2nd one as the first deflected a rock and broke in half. I like it since it doesn't sit real close to the hood which makes it easy to clean behind and debris can't get lodged between it and your hood as it doesn't contact the paint and no need for bumpstops even tho' they were supplied.

Thanks everyone. My sisters 4Runner had a factory one on it, with the bumpstops. We took it off, because (we thought) it was making something rattle. Turns out, the side mirror was loose and the airflow from the guard just exaggerated it, so taking it off seemed to solve the problem....even though the loose mirror was actually the problem. I gave that Toyota one to a friend. And now she wants another one, since she has a sunroof guard.

Nice satoshi Nelson. Hadn't seen that yet. :bravo:

The EGR, I've had on my truck for about 9 years now. It's one of my fav's because you can still fit a wash mit under it when washing, and no bump stops.

They don't make the carbon anymore, but I have the above in smoke.

Just so you guys know, I can get just about ANY brand deflector, you just have to call the # on my website, or email me, and I'll do my best.

I have the AVS II, and it is fine, but it does move a little at highway speeds. It seems like my cracked Toyota one didn't move a bit, so that kind of bothers me. Can't speak about whether any other ones are better though.
