Elocker will not lock rear

Okay, I am absolutely positive that the wiring is correct. I have taken out the elocker and cleaned it and grease it. When I energize the motor, the gear will move back and forth depending on polarity. Could the gear not be making contact with the teeth?

are you energizing it manually or with the switch while the motor is removed? I'm only thinking that the wiring is correct but no power coming from it? Also I've seen electric motors work unloaded, but when put to work they don't have the juice. a simple check of available voltage with everything installed should give you an answer.

Sounds like the gear was not engaged when the actuator was reinstalled.

Hit it with a rubber hammer see what happens. Lol happened to me where it just stopped working. I hit it with rubber hammer and it worked. Probably not a permanent fix but oh well.


Do you hear the motor even work at all when you hit the lock button?

Not knowing the full background on your install... Did you slide the rail inside the diff using a screw driver when you have the actuator off? If it hasn't moved in a while that could be stuck and just needs a working out.

You'll need the rear end off the ground, or at least a tire.

Okay, I finally got it working! I pulled the motor out and energized it to lock position. I also used a flatheat to manually lock the diff. Stuck it back in and no cigar. So I just ripped the elocker computer out and made a bunch of relays:reddance:. It works now. I also lit up the elocker button too.

I also cleaned up the wiring and tidied it up.
