Emblem Overlays

Where are y’all getting your black badges from? I have a TRD ORP and the dealership wants like $240 for a blackout overlay kit. I want the side badges, front and rear Toyota emblem, and the rear 4Runner.

I also have the ebay ones for my TRD OR. They work just like the dealer ones. Just make sure you buy the overlays pieces and not the stickers.
 
I got the $70 something dollar Toyota factory kit from eBay, it came in a Toyota parts package from a Toyota dealer so it's OEM. It has held up extremely well so far.
 
I bought the OEM Toyota ones also. Super thin Chinese junk IMO and far from worth the $80 but it was a quick easy install and they have held up so far. Just very disappointing for the price.

I’ve also heard great things about that company. I contacted them and they directed me to my local Toyota dealer.

On the link you posted, there is no price listed and when you click on the “Buy” button, it just takes you back to the home page. But yes, that is exactly what I want.
 
I hate that I can't find just the rear emblem set with 4RUNNER and Toyota emblem. I hate paying this much for a kit, to only have to either set aside or try to sell the parts for the front and C pillar. Has anyone came across a company selling individual sections? I'm just about to the point of plasti-dip, but I hate that stuff.

Get the ones on Amazon or eBay as suggested above, it's the same thing. No-lux provides the badges to dealers and then some dealers sell them online without the huge markup.

This is just the rear 4RUNNER. Maybe they make the emblem too. I got the red one from them but they make different colors.

How hard is ito to remove the factory rear emblems without damaging them? I might as well paint them and do it right if I can't find a partial kit.

In any case, I just sent a message to NOX LUX about making a partial kit for us TRDP folk that don't need the side and front pieces of the kit.

To remove emblems:

1) use a hair dryer (not a heat gun, if you use a heat gun, be careful not to damage the paint with too much heat, or melt the emblem) to get them hot to the touch.
2) use fishing wire (plastic, try to get a thin gauge) to pull behind the labels. Saw back and forth i used a bit of the glue/tar remover for vehicles to lubricate the fishing wire a bit.
3) use glue/tar remover to remove the residue. If the glue is still soft, you can roll the glue off with your fingers. If the glue is dry, coat with the tar remover and let it sit. Heat here can help.

If your car is less than a year old, this should go quick. If your car is 3+ years it will be very tough.

DO NOT PULL A CORNER OF THE LABEL AWAY FROM THE BODY. THIS WILL CAUSE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE EMBLEM TO SCRATCH YOUR PAINT. ALWAYS PULL UP EVENLY AND PERPENDICULAR TO THE BODY.

Good deal. I was afraid that they were on a peg or something that would make removal more difficult.

as long as your referring to the lower tail gate emblems, i think the "4RUNNER" is a bit different than the lower gate and then the side emblems. I am not sure how the 4RUNNER is attached specifically as it seems to have been applied by the supplier of the piece it is attached, it may have pegs. Not sure why anyone would remove it other than to paint and then reattach....
