Emergency Diff Drop help

Getting ready to install diff drop 1999 4 runner

All picture are looking forward to aft or anterior to posterior.

The photo with the 1 yellow square, what is that object in conjunction with the differential and does it get affected with the diff drop?
Looks like is will/does?

the photo with the red circle and yellow square, red circle around the area where the diff drop kit is installed?

The photo with the 2 yellow squares, diff drop point of installation?

Am I the only one on the planet or on this site that has installed a diff drop?

That odd looking piece behind the drive diff is the A.D.D.
Automatic differential disconnect.
