Engine flush question

Hey there-
While chasing down some idle issues and changing out my IAC, PCV valve and cleaning the MAF i noticed some sludge in the air intake tube. I cleaned it out but was contemplating an engine flush. I remember seeing a thread either here or on another forum about engine flushing. It was a system that is done at a shop using a series of chemicals that get pressurized through the engine. Does that ring a bell for anyone?
Does anyone have a bad experience with flushing there engines?
