Hey all, been having a problem with my 95 v6 AT. The problem starts when I crank the car. Sometimes it takes a few cranks to get her going. When she finally does start, the idle is very rough, producing a wicked shake. Now, once I get on the road, the truck works very well. But the biggest problem occurs once I start turning. When I make a full lock turn without putting any gas on, the truck will occasionally turn off. I mean, just shut off, thats it. I have checked the battery and cables, the power steering pump, the belts and timing chain and have no idea what else to do. All help would be appreciated. The car does have alot of miles (186k), but I have never had any other problems with it, besides a rear main seal leak, which was taken care of. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an issue with a vacuum line. This could cause a rough idle or rich fuel mixture, as well as a problem with the steering. Your power steering pump has vacuum lines on it that increase your engine idle when the pump is under pressure (full lock turn is a lot of pressure), and this may not be happening for you.
Check for loose hoses, as well as damaged ones.

I agree with the ding man on that one sounds like vacume also chek the FIPK tube for cracks . a truck that old might just have some cracks ,,missing pcs ,,or even loose clamps could cause your mixture to be off and run bad at an ide or a coast. even run worse when its warmed up just from the heat expantion. mine was garbage and temporarily fixed it with GE 1200 silicone and another time with liquid tape. the hose clamps were cutting throuth and leaking. ran good and bad . runs great after that fix
