Truck sputters upon accelerating. Replaced catalytic converter (yay California), and coil packs, and fuel filter, cleaned mass air flow sensor and still can't figure out what's going on. Please help ): it's a '97 t4r with a lil over 200k miles

Try and get it to a point where you can make it keep happening so it throws a code.
Mine does thing on occasion and I know for certain it's the number 5 injector.
Sometimes it throws a code right away, other times it will sputter for awhile without ever throwing a code.

Also, you sure the cell light works? Just a thought.

Good obviously you weren't using the oem recommended plugs.

They make a big difference..

Obviously huh? Care to assume what I had for breakfast this morning?

There were OEM plugs. Not just OEM, but the ones it left the factory with. That's why they were bad. My neighbor was the original owner and after they were changed I asked him if he had ever swapped them out.

To be more specific, it was the Denso's in the drivers side head that had the large gap. The OEM NGK's in the passenger head weren't too bad, maybe 0.005 out of spec.
