Engine Swap 2000 into a 1998

Where do you find these, and how much?

I bought mine from JDMEngine Depot (Home). They go from 1k to 1.2k plus shipping.

I strongly suggest seeing them in person before you buy it.

Look on eBay and try to find a seller near you.

Is it feasible to take a 5VZFE engine and transmission out of a 2000 4Runner Limited 4WD and put it into a 1998 4Runner Limited 4WD that has a blown 5VZFE?

Any changes Toyota made 98 to '00 that would complicate it?

Go JDM, there's a bunch of JDM suppliers on the East coast, NY, NJ etc etc

Resolution

In Oct 2013 I bought a 97 Limited 4WD with new tires off a guy at work for $500 - swapped some post 99 upgrade items and junked the 2000. I didn't swap the engine.
