Entune messaging mysteriously started working!

I had a 2016 SR5 premium and now have a 2018 Off Road premium. I set up the Entune messaging, to read my texts, several times over the years and it would never work for me. I am an iPhone user. Suddenly, yesterday, it started working! A text message popped up and it’s now working perfectly. Very strange. Perhaps an Entune or iPhone update fixed it? What are other iPhone user experiences with the Entune messaging app?

One thing I’ve found is to always check the setting on the iPhone to make sure the ‘Show Notifications’ is checked on under the Bluetooth connection. For me it seemed each time Entune had a system update it would revert back to checked off on my iPhone, and text notifications wouldn’t come through. After checking the box to on things would work again. YMMV.

Text messages on mine stopped popping up after working for the first few days. Mine is android though.

Mine started working recently as well. I suspect it's related to that Entune update they pushed out to us a month or so ago. That's around the time mine started working again.

Prior to the update, I had, like the OP, configured messages several times. It would work for a while and then just stop. I made sure that "show notifications" was selected, but it would still stop working pretty quickly. I gave up on it. Probably OK not to have messages when driving anyways.

Has anyone been able to cure the delay when using Bluetooth? I have seen threads about it and have deleted the app and disconnected my phone and car from each other. I have done this multiple times and I still have the delay. Also lately I have been listening to an audio book on Youtube while driving. Sometimes when I change the volume on the radio it switches to music on my phone and stops the Youtube audio. The difference in volume of the two is very loud and annoying when it does switch to the music. Any advice?

If someone could tell me how to stop email notifications from popping up on my entune I would be grateful. I have android. Drives me crazy.
