EUROPEAN 4Runner owners...

Hej, I am wondering how many European 4Runner owners there are here? And i was wondering your local Toyota garage is doing maintenance on your car, but is he realy knowing what he is doing, why I ask is, I live in Sweden, and asked Toyota Sweden if I by a 4Runner, will my local garage do the maintenance right? And do they have spare parts?

The answer was that they know not much about this car and the parts wil take long to get in Sweden, have to import from the USA...

Please what is your experience with this in your country, in Europe, and is your local garage able to do maintenance on this beauty!

Many 4Runner maintenance parts can also be found on many European domestic market Prado's, Hilux's, and Land Cruiser's. Check out toyodiy.com if you need any cross reference for parts.

Okky welcome to the Forum and I would suggest doing your own service it is very simple on these 4Runners.
As for parts you can always get them of the internet thats what I do as for shipping it might be different there than here but also remember Toyotas are all over the world so parts are also.
Enjoy your 4Runner there great.
Heck I would come over there and help you if you showed me around Sweden and gave me a place to sleep. (I fly for free because I work for the airlines)

finally someone in Europe!

I have a 2005 T4R V8 Limited here in Southern Europe (Kosovo, Greece, Macedonia). Its build for the US market with US specs. Had to get used to the miles instead of km, the MPG instead of l/100km etc. I got it for a really good price from a US military who was stationed here!

The problem here is that the local Toyota dealer does not have ANY accessories, not even a towing hook, which I got from the US (actually through this forum )

But when it comes to the maintaince parts they can get them all in 3-5 days.

I have been looking for suppliers of parts for modifications here in Europe, but have not found much. Need a proper roof basket, some metall front bumpers, etc.

Either I have to accept ridiculous high delivery prices form the US to Europe (sometimes triple the price of the actual goods!) or just leave the T4R as stock!

The original poster from Sweden hasn't been on the forum since their last post over 5 years ago.

I can't help you with any answers but I would suggest contacting the Swedish Embassy/Consulate and they maybe able the give you answers or direct to someone who can.
