Did some search with no luck....What are these red "taped" wires near the speaker wires for?

White/blk is a pretty common color for ground wires for Toyota. Most likely a ground splice point.

I do agree that these White w/Blk stripe leads are coded as GND wires, but the clear tip resembles a "Mercury switch"(?)!... perhaps something to do with RSCA or (Roll Sensing Curtain Airbag) for some serious off-roading? :noidea: I know that some body here knows for sure what this is... but not me!

I agree with GND (white and black stripes), but also seems to be like a sensor.....

just cut and throw it away, its just extra weight. Could probably gain one mpg without it
