If your calipers are that rusted, then your frame is probably roached. Make sure the vehicle is structurally sound before putting any money into it.

While your in there sand as much of the truck you can down and paint away. Or use some sort of rust converted. You will need it. Protecting the truck now will make it last longer.

I saw someone using an internal frame rust spray that looked a greenish color. Does it remain that color? These brakes are a bit more then I was looking to get into but they def need done. Thanks for the info and help.

On advanceautoparts.com are SLC9393 and SLC9392 the correct calipers for 4runners with 16 inch wheels? I'm assuming so since the other 2 state they are for 15inch wheels. It doesn't even state left or right?

So I took the advice of some on here and used a coupon and got both calipers from advance on Monday. I haven't had a chance to install them yet. They just been sitting in the house. So today I opened the box and they are both rusting already. I mean wow are you kidding me

Rust layer after 6 months
I bought my 231mm tundra calipers from Advance auto parts and after only 6 months there is a good layer of rust, which I thought was surprisingly quick. Granted I did take it out in the snow a few times so that probably accelerated the accumulation.
I hit it with a steel brush and it slowly starting coming off - patience is required here. It seems to only be on the surface which means the original coat of paint is doing it job.
