Never heard of the 4Runners coming with a set of factory chromes. Is this for real or is he full of it?

4Runner Tacoma Tundra rims with Tires

Ad:

Selling a set of 4 rims and Tires off of a 1999 Toyota 4Runner sport. These are the harder to find factory chromed rims, that came on the high end 4Runners. These come with 265/75/16 (32") tires. They are Michelin LTX M/S 2 tires in an E rating. Look these up on Tire rack (link included) These are one of their highest rating tires, that last a long time. Current tread is 11/32nds, brand new is 13/32nds. These tires are at 85%!!!!!!! Rims are in great condition, and come with all 4 center caps. These DO NOT come with lug nuts.

They're not from anything "higher end" unless you consider the TRD Offroad Package Tacoma.

They're just the same wheels chromed. Many dealerships (including mine) offer a chrome wheel exchange for an additional cost when purchasing a vehicle.

I see a lot of the older Sequoias with these wheels chromed. These are only able to fit the 199mm Tundra upgrade, too, hence why Toyota changed to the 17" rim for the later sequoia's pre-07

These never came on any 4Runners at all, and their backspacing is different than ours. These will sit further in.

i actually saw some Chrome wheels (or so i thought) on the 01-02 sport wheels and when i checked it out they were just plastic chrome hub caps over the OEM alloy wheel maybe this is the same??

Exactly what everyone else said. You could have the factory wheels chromed by the dealer when purchasing the truck for a pretty penny. This is my sisters 4Runner, we purchased it from the original owner. He had the wheels chromed when he bought it.
