Factory order turn around time in Canada

Finally took the plunge and ordered a white TE. Anyone have experience with the turn around time between placing an order and how long it takes to show up in Canada? The dealer didn't seem to have much of a clue, so I thought I'd check here. I do wish that Toyota offered what Jeep does, where you can track the progress of the vehicle through the build (my only previous experience with a factory order)...

In any case, can't wait for it to get here! Won't get modding for a few years (Haha, I said that before with the Rubicon too, lasted about 3 months before mods started and a year later was running 35's with a full suspension change out), but different purpose for this one. The site sure is giving me lots of ideas though...

Congtrats!

I had to wait roughly two weeks for Kingsway Toyota to redirect a white TE from another dealership for me.

Who are you dealing with? They should be able to do the same.
 
I went with Mayfield, but they were not able to find one through the dealer network... I was told the order was submitted and it'll be coming from Japan (so basically, it hasn't been built, or wasn't when I ordered).

BTW, I initially dealt with Sun Toyota and they had a white TE coming for me. This was over two months ago. They did get it in. I remember seeing it on their lot.

It can't be seen in the dealer network once the vehicle is registered. And that's exactly what they did when they realized I went to Kingsway Toyota. They didn't want me to get it.

I am from Maine and ordered mine the first week of February and I am still waiting. I called the dealership last week for an update any they told me the first or second week of May.
 
Thanks... So looks like about 3 months. Not sure why the linked one doesn't show up for them, though I did request that it not have been test driven overly if coming over the dealer network. Why? Because the one that I test drove had the locker engaged on dry pavement. Made me leary of getting anything that had seen too much time with the (uneducated) masses.

I sure hope mine doesn't take that long to get here. I can't believe how hard it is to get one. Then again, I had to go 300 miles to find the f150 I wanted.
 
Ended up taking 7 weeks between placing the factory order and the day I took off... better than I anticipated. Love the fact it had a whopping 7 km on the odometer. Feels and drives great, though I did notice the infamous(?) knocking noise from the suspension (KDSS?) on a bumpy road when turning left. Not as loud as I had expected, but definitely present.

Mine is suppose to come this weekend. I ordered mine way back in March.

My order was placed at end of day on March 31st (so probably didn't hit their system until the following day), and my first delivery date had indicated it would be arriving on May 26th... showed up over a week earlier, so I can't complain.

I called my dealer because of this thread. Its sitting port right now. How long do you think it takes to pass customs and make its way to the dealership to be prepped? My dealership is 30km away from the port.
 
No idea. If it's anything like importing a vehicle into Canada, 3 days notice and about an hour... and then the time to have someone do the paperwork. Honestly, who knows, a company works differently than doing it yourself. My dealership needed one day to install a remote start and do the 3M protection.
 
Put deposit on 2015 SR5 base model on Nov 7/14. Still no ETA/production date from dealer. Should I be worried or is this wait time normal? I expected a 12-16 week wait for delivery, but thought I would have some kind of ETA by now. I'm in the GTA.

I'm in the exact same boat, except my order was placed on the 10th. I haven't heard a peep from my dealer.
 
when i try to order my the first dealer say 8 month because i wanted auto running board. then went to another dealer got my blizzard pearl third row seats redwood interior in 28 days and that's without the auto running board.
 
Was originally told it would be about 12 weeks but ended up being about 8 weeks for my 2011 TE to arrive. I think my dealer did a trade for a Limited they had on order which shortened the delivery time. Hang in there the wait is worth it.
