Your search skills must have been a "FAIL" also as there are about 20 threads on it. You must have a 2010 as they put real horns on 2011's and up.

My 2012 TE has a much "hornier" horn - it sounds like the dual horn setup on my F250 - this actually suprised me when my son hit the horn button one day. I was expecting the squeaky horn that I had on my 2010 SR5, but it looks like Toyota decided to upgrade the horn!

When I was researching the 5th gen I saw the threads about the horn and purchased Hella horns ahead of time. When I got my 2012, it didn't need them but I added them, in parallel through a relay, anyway. WOW, the combined sound boarders on being scary loud!!!

i know this thread is useless.. but i've read about the horns people have replaced with.. i didnt know that the 2011+ had different horns?.. i need to hear one to see if i should just do that or completely replace them
