Failed Smog Test (CA), Mismatching E.O. Sticker

Took my car to get smog tested today, failed due to the E.O. sticker mismatching with my supercharger. Supposedly, my E.O. sticker is for the 3.0L engines (Camry, etc.), and not for the 3.4L engines (my 2002 4Runner).

EDIT: SEE POST #3 FOR RESOLUTION

Thanks!

Figured I would post a follow up, though no one else has replied to this thread..

The correct EO sticker for 2001-2002 4Runner's with superchargers is MDC# 00602-89020 with the E.O.# on the sticker being D-425-15. I will X-Post to the main supercharger forum since this has been a pain in the ass.

Bringing this thread back from the dead: I think the -15 CARB EO sticker is good for more than just 01-02. The EO document states 1995-2004 "trucks" with 2.37" pulley and 3.4L engine. It also looks like it is provisioned to cover the (TRD) 7th injector also.

Can anyone with a pre-2001 confirm they have the -15 sticker on their SC'd rig?

I have D-425-4 on my sticker, 1998 auto. Passes smog just fine.

I have seen many folks with that sticker, but it seems strange to me, because EO D-425-4 says 1995-2000 Toyota trucks with 3.4L and 2.215" diameter SC pulley. I was under the impression all 3rd gens get the 2.37" diameter pulley.

The only EO's that I have found that cover the 2.37" pulleys are D-425-13 and D-425-15.

Failed SMOG - tech said D-425-15 doesn't apply

need a little help here.
I have a 2nd gen TRD supercharger on my 2002 SR5 and went to get a smog test done for my registration renewal.
I went to the same place 2 years ago and it passed but this year the tech (same tech) stated that the D-425-15 EO does not apply to my 4runner and it only applies to 2003-2004 4runners. I brought up the fact that my engine is 3.4L and that it wasn't an issue last time. He stated that the 3.4L only applies to trucks and my 4runner is not a truck. He also stated that EO's change all the time and that it could have been updated but as he reads it, it doesn't apply to my 4runner and he doesn't remember what happened last time.

can I take it to another shop? he said I could but I would get them in trouble if they passed it because he has already said it doesn't pass. He said my only option is to contact a SMOG Referee or take the supercharger off.

any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Check the language in EO D-425-4 also. It calls the 4Runner the "4Runner truck" - so there is some history here. Also, by '95 (errr... 95.5), there was no Toyota "Truck" - it was a Tacoma, T100, Tundra or 4Runner, all that had a valid application for the Supercharger covered under that EO. All are "Trucks" available with a 3.4L engine for some subset of those years and thus should be covered.
