2wd or 4wd?
V-6 or 4 cyl?
Auto or manual?
Rear locker?

Assuming it's a 4wd with a V6/automatic and a locker, I'd say ~$9-10k would probably be a fair price. I think sometimes the manual transmission ones can fetch a higher price just because they're more rare. For no locker I'd deduct about $500.

pogi89: I'd say around $5k, but it really depends on what kind of an accident it was in.

thanks for the opinions guys. my rig isnt going anywhere for a good 100k miles plus. just wanted to gauge the market out there. amazing that these hold their value so well. in my shopping for a larger SUV to add to the fleet, it amazes me how their values have really gone to hell. forget about gas prices, the supply out there of suburbans, yukons, tahoes, sequoias, it is just ridiculous.

2000 - I would say $8-9k. I just spent a few months searching for the one I bought, so know the market pretty well right now

How do you like the TRD cat back system? How loud is it and do you know if they are still available? I am quickly piling up a nice mod list here...

love the cat back. a bit more expensive than other options out there but well worth it. nice smooth hum to it.

i spent 6900 on a used 2000 4runner, 4wd, auto SR5. Interior excellent shape. Underneath: Rust cancer. still, tranny shifts great, and i get about 21 mpg on highway. very pleased.. just replaced rotors/pads yesterday, and i've already done the air elbow mod and replaced both O2 sensors.
