OK, typically, a fan clutch is temp controlled, low resistance when cool, locks up when it gets hot. Standard failure mode is not locking up. Some disengage over a certain RPM and are harder to test.
On a quick newspaper test, at no time could I stop it with the newspaper. Not even thinking about slowing it down. Pink/purple fan clutch hub FWIW. Especially with where I go, failing locked is far better than the other way, or is it ok as is?
