I'm in for a trail run soon. I've never been to any of the trails you mentioned though so I'm pretty open to new things. Although I hear very muddy things about Azusa.

Azusa is fun and u don't have to get muddy if u don't want to. The water crossings should be easy as there hasn't been any rain lately. Its rocky and loose DG. U can do it in 2wd mostly. Its alot of fun to watch the noobs at the mudpit!

I suggest we shot for Dec 15. Give everyone 2 weeks to clear there schedules. Is there camping at Azusa? That's a long drive for just a day trip. Make a nice wheeling weekend out of the deal.

I believe u can camp at Crystal Lake but I dont know for sure. It may be closed till spring. Back in the 80s u could stay overnight at Azusa. It just got too crazy so they banned alcohol. Nice try. Then they just started booting u out at dusk.
