Fender liner touch up necessary? Which product?

Hi folks. I had a shop install my Toytec TRD Pro 2 inch kit (spacers front/springs rear). For some reason they removed the entire shock and in doing so somehow dinged up the fender pretty good (along with leaving the steering wheel off center and dinging up the front shocks! wtf?). Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for fender touch up material to prevent rust? Would something like a rustoleum flat black paint work? All thoughts welcome. Thanks!!

Not sure why my pics are posting upside down. Sorry about that.

It is my understanding the strut had to be removed because the spacer plate for the 1" additional lift goes on top of it. Anytime you add or remove lift you also need to get an alignment because you have changed the steering geometry, even if only a little. As for the scratches, a matte black touch up paint pen available at any auto parts store should do fine for that. The Rustoleum you cited should be good.

Right. I'm aware the shock has to be removed in the front. But this was the rear. Only springs were being added. I thought only the bottom shock bolt would need to come off.

You have a lazy mechanic.

The top is a much easier place to release the shock than the lower mount. After about 2 times doing rear suspension work on a 5th gen you'll start taking the top nut off instead. It's just way faster. The down side is that you can't put a ratchet on it without bending that sheet metal. I'd bet your mechanic just bent the metal up and then either hammered or used a crescent wrench to bend it back down. Because he didn't want to use an open end wrench to take that nut off.
