Are the fenders an easy install? Extra clearance or are they just for looks....

I find it sketchy Duraflex has photoshopped their fenders onto other people's rigs, after they copied Fiberwerx's design. Sounds like they're a trash company.

This first one I recognized from McNeil's website before they had [MENTION=87687]LTDSC[/MENTION] 's pictures on their 4th gen fiberglass page.



The second one is from a truck Addicted Offroad worked on.



They thought I wouldn't recognize the trucks. Shame on them. :first:

Fiberglass fenders make the wheelwell taller, and wider to accommodate the wide long-travel kits out there. 100% functional and the only way to make your fenders wider for our 4th gens without going to a custom body shop. They are pretty tricky to install correctly and most recommend having a body shop install them for you so they line up correctly with your hood and doors. Not to mention they need painted. If you don't have a +2 or +3.5" long travel kit, you really don't need them, you can just trim the plastic inside your wheel wells yourself which would give you enough clearance to run up to 35" tires if you want.

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I have wheel spacers and about 3"s of lift. I still rub some. Guess I just need to go trim some more, I do not have the long travel kit.

If you have a spot local you can pick them up to cancel shipping fees.. not sure if it's only Southern California though

I have the fiberwerx and love them. I like how they taper down in the front to match the factory bumper width rather than the glassworks or mcneils that stay wide all the way down. I feel like it works better with the rear flares being stock and not as wide. Also like the squared edge, think it gives an aggressive front.

I know this thread is old and has been inactive, but I bought the same fenders as [MENTION=95421]Troymclure[/MENTION] finally.

$442 shipped to my front door, took only 5 days!

I LOVE how they taper down in the front, and blend in with the body lines in the back. The fiberglass itself seems pretty thick, but came with the passenger side mounts being cast different from the drivers side. Probably just part of the fiberglass world.

I am not LT, just MT with zero offset 9" wide wheels on 35x12.6's and 1.5" spidertrax.

Then paint. I tried to match to the Galactic Grey Mica and used a duplicolor closest to the paint code that Autozone recommended. It has more metal flake in it, and isn't as dark. Meh, for $40 total, I won't complain.

Again, only on mid travel, I think these are a great replacement for the hi line fenders I had created before. The tires are about flush and I am pretty pleased!
