Those lights look legit but man, for the money to upgrade all in the 4Runner you're looking to spend over $300. Maybe one day but I think for now the ones I installed should do fine.
I think a lot of people have been waiting on some updates, including me, but honestly I'm slowly starting to fall in love with it. Coming from a late model BMW with tons of gadgets and options in it to the 4Runner I was really skeptical but honestly I dont miss much. I think the only one thing that I really miss is the adaptive lights from the BMW, anything else I can live without.

Last weekend we went up Switzerland Trail and had a blast. I can’t wait to start exploring even more with this thing and go on longer trips. We’re planning to go to the FJ Summit this year, anyone else going?

lower plastics and garnish painted BMW Jet Black, I also did something with the letters. Will wait couple days and install, I can’t wait!

Thank you guys! Finally everything is back together and I’m loving it!
For those of you looking at the Chinese TRD grill special here’s some feedback. First of all like others have said the parts were extremely well packaged, no complaints at all there. The quality out of the box looked great to me. The upper part of the grill that replaces the OEM grill fit perfect, no complaints there. If I really have to dig for something bad to say I guess the only only minor thing is that the holes where the clips go that hold the top plastic between the radiator and the bumper cover are a little smaller and you have to push really hard to make the clip go in. That’s the only thing I can think about and again I’m not complaining just throwing it out there. The garnish was overall great as well. What I noticed is that it’s a little bit smaller than the OEM one so the gap at the end where it meets with the bumper cover is a bit bigger than the original TRD garnish. Again not a deal breaker for me considering I paid $150 shipped for the whole package while I believe the OEM parts would cost close to $600. Overall super happy, and the front end looks much better now.
now onto the pics, I’ll start with one from yesterday. This locally famous TRDPro was at the BMW dealer yesterday and I had to park next to it and take a pic. It’s got 2.5” Kings lift and 1” Toytec body lift. Also Spidertrax and ICON UCAs. It’s so funny ours looks like a little toy next to it.
Last night at the car wash showing the front end better
I really like how this pic from earlier today turned out. Don’t mind my garage, I’ve got plans for it, hopefully can make those happen this summer
And last, we had a pretty good snow storm couple weeks ago so we took the 4Runner out to have some fun. I was a little bit surprised how well it drifted around, full lock drifts were easy to control.
That’s all for now. I think my next step will be adding Spidertrax to all 4 corners and after that I have to start collecting some cash for Kings. Might do some underbody armor in between too.

Quick update, I finally pulled the trigger on some Spidertrax spacers. Loving the look, keeping the fender liners and doing some trimming so I don’t hear any rubbing at any point.
Also tomorrow marks 3 months ownership and we just did the 5k mile service at 5245 miles, we’ve been driving it lol [emoji38]

Lately we’ve been getting a ton of snow in Colorado. Avalanches have been burying cars in the mountains along I70 and CO-91, many backcountry areas are on Extreme Avalanche Danger, pretty crazy conditions. Here’s couple pix from last weekend. I can’t wait to go snow wheeling this weekend!

Nice rig! I used to live in Grand Lake for 23 years so I recognize some of the places you posted pictures of. After 3 Winters here at "low elevation", we decided we needed a more capable vehicle. Goodbye Subaru Forester, Hello 4Runner. Keep posting, please. You are giving me ideas...

Grand Lake is such a beautiful area, I wish we could live there too. BTW since you've spend so much time there have you heard or been to a place called Lake Mary? I've heard a guy I know mention it once so I was thinking of checking it out, but cant remember if that was the name. I bet you're loving the 4Runner so much more, its great how it makes you wanna hit the mountains once you get into it.
So I did a thing. My idea is at some point to put a nicer suspension on, probably going to go with Dobinsons, but at the mean time I wanted to do something with the front end for couple reasons. First I don’t like how much lower it sits than the back and second, there was rubbing at full lock when going over bumps after I added the 1” spacers. I was about to order some spacers for a slight lift from Rough Country (about $140), but then I thought why not check what’s available on Amazon. I found a pair with really good reviews for only $40 and thought why not give them a shot, I mean at the end of the day they are all a piece of aluminum so why pay $100 more just for the brand name. They arrived yesterday and my plan was to install them tomorrow but as usual I couldn’t wait so I installed them same night. Install was pretty easy, I believe it was 8 bolts per side, took almost no time.
Anyway I know we all love looking at pictures more than reading novels so here we go.
Spacers, sorry but I just realized I didn’t take a pic of the spacers themselves
First side installed. The only thing I had to do is cut the three bolts of the original strut hats because the bolts were a little too long. Didn’t even had to go down to the thread, just the couple millimeters at the top of the bolt.
This is what I did in order to skip having to do alignment. You have to loosen the lower control arms bolts in order to drop the lower control arm and take she shock/spring out.
After everything I’m super happy. The truck is pretty much level now, no more rubbing, and it rides/drives exactly like it did before the install. We put about 100 miles on it today and it drives straight, stays straight while stopping, like nothing has changed. You can definitely feel the lifted front end while inside the truck.

If any of you guys have questions about this please let me know. I’ll be more than happy to help anyone who’s planning on doing a spacer lift. BTW I decided to give the spacer lift a shot after going to one of the local Yota dealers and realizing that’s how they had a lot of the new 4Runners on their lot lifted.
