I'm back! I'm finally back in a 4Runner.....
I used to have a 97 SR5 4Runner. Then it was sold when the misses wanted a Beetle convertible... :~( Of course, she got tired of it after a year and got a 2007 Subaru Tribeca.
Then I had kids and picked up a 2004 Toyota Sienna. The Sienna was hitting high mileage, power door broke and other CEL problems, I finally got rid of it Thanksgiving weekend and got a white 2011 4Runner Limited with everything on it except the 3rd row seats. The Sienna's faux AWD is worthless and I needed a real 4WD system to navigate Deep Creek Lake in the winter.
I had originally wanted the 3rd row, but after looking at a SR5 with it, and finding no Limited's in my area w/ it in either white or red, I got one without it. Frankly, its not even fit for kids. There's virtually no space once the seats are up and looks very dangerous if you get rear-ended.
I'll post pictures once I get a chance to take them. It's ironic that I had already posted my review of large SUV's and almost picked up a Ford Expedition until I had another look at the 4Runner. I'll be updating my review on v6p to include the MDX and 4Runner head to head as well.
After driving it for the past two weeks, I'm just happy to be back in a 4Runner again!!
