Looking for replacement shocks for sons new/old 4 runner... looked everywhere.. I guess Bilstein is building new facility and is slightly behind...360 4600 series shocks alone according to their wonderful customer service department.
They are the shock IMHO.
I found them on Ebay of all places. A store in CA had 7 left. I ordered 2 front and will order rear Monday after checking old ones out.
Found out info from Jamie at Bilstein CA that the B6 shock is the Bilstein version of what works for a vehicle...the tuned version if you will for the car/SUV/truck. And the B4 is the factory twin tube replacement. Wish I would have known this as I installed the B4's on an old Benz that would have loved the nicer tuned shock.
For what it is worth the B8 is the version for a shorter spring..or lowered vehicle.
I would have tried to order the B6 if I could but I was happy to just get front struts for his SUV. As soon as I get them on I am headed to the mountain bike trail..a fire road and new shocks...gotta love it.
