Finally did this...

First w/ Running Boards, then w/ Running Boards removed...if you couldnt figure it out.

I always liked the way the RB's looked on the stock height rig, the only reason I removed them was because I'm lifting it in a couple days and will be adding sliders. I wish I did it a longtime ago. I love the way it looks now!

I agree with you, stock 3rd gen looks good with the running boards but at the same time I want to remove mine...haha!

I didnt really notice it until they were off, but with the RB's on, I think because of the way the caps were angled, it looked like I had a little rear sag...I took them off and it looked way better...one of those illusion things, but I really dig it!
 
I just took off mine yesterday (Sunday) as well, and the rig looks way better! Though, I agree, I like the running boards on, they aren't too bad either.
