Finally got my 3rd Gen

I had to trade my 2005 V8 Sport in a few months ago for a Sequoia so today I had to go trade my 2000 Pre Runner in for a 1998 4Runner Limited. I finally have the 3rd gen 4Runner that I have wanted.

I have been a 4Runner nut for a long time but the 3rd Gen has always been my favorite.

Desert Dune Metallic to be exact. I got mine from the original owner as well and he had the original window sticker in the packet of maintenance info. That's the color it said. Yours is in slightly better shape than mine, by the looks of it...great truck. Congratulations!

Man I see the cargo cover on craigslist all the time for $25 or so...as far as headrests go, that should be a fairly easy junkyard find and probably cheap too...just gotta keep checking everyday. I'm still on the hunt for a SE hood thats already painted desert dune...love that scoop!

My 05 Sport had the scoop but I really do like the scoop a lot better on the 3rd Gen. I will have to give craig's list a shot. Thanks for the tip!

I'll keep my eyes open for it...if I see one I'll just pick it up and post on here. I got new springs from a 2000 4runner today. Hopefully it'll help with the sag!

$80 is a decent price since I see the covers generally go for over $100.

I just picked one up on ebay this morning (finally) for $60 + shipping. They usually end up going for $100 or $125 on ebay, so I thought I did well by waiting. We'll see what condition it is in! I can tell you the 2001/2002 covers are not compatiable with older 3rd gen runners and vise versa.
