Finally here: my 2016 SuperWhite 'TRD Trail' w/KDSS

Had my roof rails blacked out, as it should have come from the factory. Vinyl wrap, satin black. Couldn't stand looking at the silver rails with the black rack any longer...

You do this yourself? If so, how easy is it? If not, how much $?

I wish I felt the same way as you about my KDSS ride quality. I know it handles corners better but I feel every single little bump and it feels like it's constantly shaking, bump bump bump. I also have the 275 K02s and have personally balanced and road forced them several times to see if that was related. I've also played around with the tire pressures and that has helped a little but not really that much. Right now I have them at 36 PSI and it still a super bumpy ride. I wish I knew what the deal was...
I'm not sure if it's the tires, the KDSS, or a combination of both…

Based on my experience, it is your tires. I have a 2017 TRD OR with KDSS. I drove 6K miles with stock tires and the ride comfort was great. I traded out for 275 BFG KO2 and it is a huge difference. I feel every bump or irregularity in the road. The tires are rated for a much heavier truck. I knew this going in and wanted that tire, so I tolerate it.

Although I have no experience with KO2s, my 275 Load C Cooper AT3s at 40psi ride great. Really great, in fact. Super-impressed with all aspects of this tire.

Finally installed the ARB twin compressor on a Slee bracket. No one was quite sure if it would fit with the ARB Inflation Kit's quick disconnect without contacting the hood (not even Slee would say), but it fit with 1"+ to spare. Used a CH4x4 'Twin Compressor' switch instead of AOB's version, as the one I used has the correct graphic.

Just got back from my third White Rim trip in the last 10 months, and loaded the Rola up a bit differently than last time. Instead of the big ol' Rola bag, I used a light-ish plastic box I found on Amazon that fits perfectly in the back of the rack. Hauled light stuff, just need to figure out a more convenient way to mount it.

It was Jeep Safari Week in Moab, and I ran into three rigs sporting identical BILSTEIN paint jobs. Bunch of nice guys, got to pick their brains and they gave me some schwag!

Speaking of that, since I built my rig I've been convinced that the TRD front suspension is physically identical (size/travel-wise) to Bilstein 6112s, other than slightly different valving and the lack of additional spring perches. I got to talk with the Tech Rep for those products, and he confirmed that they are indeed identical (other than said slightly different valving and the lack of additional spring perches), and that my approach of adding the Toytec Spring Seat Spacers both on the top perch of the TRD suspension is identical to the 6112 setup on one of the higher perches.

So for all of you worried about an 'aftermarket spacer' lift for your TRD Pro, it's no different than adding Bilstein a 6112/5160 setup, set on an upper perch.
