Which running boards are those that are higher than the Trail version?

I honestly don't know, never saw the paperwork on them. I think if a dealer orders 'Trail' running boards, that's what you get. Sorry can't be more help on that one.

Yes; it's an option for either Trail or Trail Premium flavors.

Looks nice. Unfortunately the running boards won't help with winter slop along the sides. The spray exits the front wheel wells all the way up to the top and then goes down the sides about half way up the doors. I have a set of those in my outbuilding. Looks good though!

Looks good! I wanted KDSS but no sunroof so I went with a standard Trail with KDSS. I live in LA so I prefer the cloth seats that always stay cool and no need for the heaters.

I'm sure there are a lot of dealers that would be happy to TRD your Trail if you ask up front and package it in to the purchase price. You are the first I've seen to go all the way with the TRD suspension instead of after market Icon, etc.

Hey. I told you it looked nice lol. I have five winter's experience in a 5th gen and one of those winters had running boards. When I got my newest 5th gen I took them off as soon as I got home from the dealership. If you have short, old or little humans then they are needed. If you don't have any of those then running boards are only good for getting the back of your pants leg dirty getting out of the vehicle. That's all.

Looks great! Black out the roof rails and order some black lugs and you're set. I have the same running boards, love em.

So, did they modify the TRD Skid to fit at the dealer? Or did Toyota fix the the skidplate to not need modification?

OR, if when you say the price as a TRD Pro, the price on Toyota's website or the price the locals dealers are charging? That can be different by thousands of dollars around here.

IDK. Compare list to list and that would be the cheapest I would think. Now he has basically has a TRD PRO with a sunroof and KDSS though so that's about a $3K adder for both options.

As stated above (see link provided), I bought and modified the skid plate myself, based upon the info contained in a couple of threads here.

Don't have the numbers in front of me, was up in Leadville all day watching my sons' HS mountain bike races.

I'm referring to the price I would have paid here in CO (MSRP) for a TRD Pro with the same factory options (crossbars and carpet mats), adjusting for what I paid for the suspension, grille, bumper valances, etc. Got about 7+% below MSRP for the TEP; would have gotten 0% off a TRD Pro. That difference effectively paid for much of the extras.

Hey, that is even better. So these protect the bottom edges of the rig in case of contact with dirt or rock? Otherwise they function the same as running board?

I want them for two purpose so: to make the interior more accessible for my elderly short mom, amid to be able to reach the roof rack where I will be carrying a bike.

At lower prices than the stock boards do you recommend the sliders? I am not afraid of some mechanical work, but are there places that can properly install them for me if I needed to?
