Finally moved up with DS 2.5/1.5 & BFG Rugged Terrain

I can't believe it took me this long to do this to my '03. A couple of months ago i installed Spidertrax spacers that really improved the stance....but i wanted more....lol. Last weekend I installed a DS 2.5/1.5. I was very please with the look and level stance. I was thinking i would just try to sell off my stock 265/60 18 Yokohama Geolanders, since i had just put them on this past summer. Well, that didn't last too long. I wanted a tire that was a little more towards the A/T look, but was going to still be nice on the road. The BFG Rugged Terrains 265/65 18 were just the ticket, so i had them installed today. They ride great and are more quiet than my Yokohama Geolanders. It is a good thing i am so pleased with them as i will probably have to sleep in my truck for a couple of days.....lol. Didn't really tell the wife what was happening.....oops. Anyway, thanks for all the people that answered my endless list of questions. On to some pics.

Awesome, looks great.. I like those tires, almost pulled thr trigger on those, but went with Falken Rocky Mtn instead, keep us updated on those. Look good. Also glad you have a pic of tailights, may have to buy those. keep up the good work, the wife may want you to sleep in it for atleast one night lol.

Looking forward to more pictures with the new tires! Sorry about the camping out in the car part. It happens to all of us at one point or another. And at least you'll be camping ~3.5 inches higher. ;)
 
Thanks man. I had thought about going to the led tail lights, but those just work with my truck so much better. Once i did my headlights they were a great match. To be honest, i was shocked that these tires ride as good as they do. I had already resigned to the possibility that they were going to have a lot of road noise....I am very happy with'em
 
Looks great Momo! I like those enkeis much more without the center cap, you should think about leaving them off.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing, but don't like seeing the blue of the Spidertrax through the center. I might plasti-dip the center caps black or just see if i can find more flat center cap and paint it black.
 
It was good talking to you yesterday! The tires look great, I'm going with the same size but with Rocky MTN A/Ts. Hopefully I'll have them next month, Christmas is taking the extra cash right now!

Thanks. I couldn't tell a big difference, but after i took it in they said it was off a pretty decent amount, so i am glad i got it in soon after. Between the DS install, alignment, Seafoam treatment, oil change, brake job and new tires (all this week) it feels like a brand new truck.....lol
 
Yeah, I figured that on the alignment, taking mine in today, I have only driven it about 50 miles since I installed the DS lift. Thanks!
 
Thanks. I like'em without the center caps too. I did put them back in last night, just till i have time to get the rust off the hub and repaint. Can't stand seeing the rust....lol
 
Looks great! Sleeping in the 4R with an air mattress isn't bad. I've been sleeping there ever since I found this forum :-).
You guys with all your cool mods gets me in trouble lol

It seems like the factory would have produced the rig with about 2" more lift than stock. It just looks so much better for a 4x4.

Thanks Doug. You are partially to thank/blame for this too.....ha. If it makes you feel any better i bought my '03 in the fall of '02, right when they came out and i am just now putting a lift on it....lol. All the other mods were small and just done here and there. I wish i had done it years ago.
