Finally pulled the trigger

So first and foremost a big thank you goes out to Trail Duty. I just placed my order for a Gobi stealth with the sunroof insert, high lift mount, gas trunk shocks, ladder, light bar ready and a spare tire tie down system. They put a real good price together for me and ive been waiting a while to make this purchase. Now the wait begins for delivery. Im in no rush but sure excited to receive it.

Did they give an estimate on how long it should be for delivery? I'm on the fence about placing an order (I have to measure and make sure it will fit into the wife's parking garage at work, only 6'8" per the sign). If it fits in garage it will be tight. I have a trip planned for the last week in July and if I had a rack by then it would be great.

I thought they were having a 3+ month delay, maybe that was from somewhere else.

The guy on the phone said 6-8 weeks. Im not going to hold him to his word. I know some people waited longer that were a part of the group buy so we shall see if anything changes since its a single order

there is also the option to order the rack with "no rise" in the front, that would save you 3-4" u may need. 6'8" is probably cutting it really close if not too low for a lift and 285's (from ur sig) + ~7" rack

There are 2 options for the stealth rack on their site, one is $1500 before options, and the other is $2400 before options. It appears to me that the only difference is that the light bar is already on it.

Is the light bar really worth $900 or is something being price gouged?

They use Rigid light bars and those are stupid expensive but very good quality. The $1500 is just for the rack without any accessories

Thank you for the clarity. I asked a similar question to TrailDuty and they danced around it.

I wasn't aware you could get it with no rise. Thanks for the heads up. I may need to do that. If my estimate is correct I may have an inch or so in clearance with my current set up if I added the stealth in its normal configuration. I'm going to take the truck and a tape measure to the garage to get an accurate measurement on how much clearance I would have. I know each truck is different and I don't believe the sign that says 6'8". It could be slightly higher or lower and that could be an expensive lesson.

you went all out! i ordered my stealth rack 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything.

trail duty had great customer service. Hopefully I don't wait too long

12 weeks is the average people are receiving their roof racks. That is how long I've waited.

I canceled my order with trail duty due to their shitty communication, then I ordered direct from gobi. I emailed and called trailed duty multipul times and eventually had to file a claim with PayPal to stop payment. Once PayPal got involved trail duty finally responded. I was quoted 6 weeks from gobi and they matched the deal trail duty gave me.

I had the total opposite lol. Gobi didn't want to budge and seemed uninterested and trail duty answered all my question is real quick. My confirmation email I just got said 8-10 weeks it will be at my door

Wild, I ordered from Gobi last Thursday. When did you order?

I just received mine today. It took exactly 6 weeks for delivery. Communication was non-existent as far as updates, but I gave both Gobi and Trail Duty a call several times and customer service was great...for me at least. I have read that some people had issues with delivery, mine was all good and I ordered straight from Trail Duty. Now hopefully I'll get it installed this weekend. Hope you have no issues as well...cheers!

Nice! I never knew you could order it without the rise. Might have to consider gobi again since it doesn't need drilling.

It's been 8 weeks since I placed my order with Trail Duty. Gobi said it should be going out for delivery next week.

My garage opening is 6'9" (81") tall. I have my Icon stage 2 lift being installed in a couple weeks and will be running 285/70/17 BFG KO2s. I think the Gobi Stealth will still fit.

Gobi Stealth add 8"
Icon Stage 2 lift add 3" (probably only 2.5", but want to have wiggle room)
285 tires add 1" (probably only .6" of height difference over 265s)
Total added height ~ 12"

I mocked up a 12" tall piece of cardboard on the roof of my truck and it fit into the garage with and inch or two to spare. I've already ordered the rack, so I hope this works out.

Anyone else happen to be running the same (or similar) setup?

Cheers!
