Have been thinking (and dreaming) of a 4Runner offroad for years now and finally pulled the trigger!
2018 4Runner TRD Offroad Premium with KDSS, moonroof, and sliding rear cargo tray.
Had to go all the way to Phoenix to find one in white that had the sliding rear cargo tray--apparently that was the option that made this thing a bit of a unicorn. But wanted a level back when the seats are down as I plan on sleeping in the back regularly.
Have used this forum many times over the years researching what vehicle I wanted... and even for things such as recently confirming that I could remove the seat bottoms--else the back of the 2018 4Runner would not have been long enough for me to sleep. So thank you all!
I'm not an offroad guy for the sake of offroading; I'm a nature photographer who just wants to get back into areas without good roads. I'll need to learn a lot about how to do that safely--so looking forward to learning a lot from you all.
Next I'll need to figure out what starter gear I'll need to add first to what I've taken to calling my "small tank."

I'm fortunate to live in an area full of scenery like this. That spot is about an hour from home. I took that shot last year just before the Eagle Creek Fire came through the area. Started by teens throwing fireworks into Punchbowl Falls. The fire came within quarter mile or so of this spot.
