I have a fire extinguisher that I want to conciel some where in my 3rd gen for easy access but also out of sight so its not an eye sore. I could only think of once place which is the rear compartment in the back but its not very easy to access fast. If your in a panic situation it has to be of easy access... Thanks for the suggestions.

You can mount a bracket on the driver side of the back hatch area. There nothing behind there. Just screw in a couple self tappers. Its to the side, out of the way, and easy access. I plan on mounting mine to the roll bar I installed, but not everyone has one of those.

Mine is in the rear compartment. I have a lot of stuff crammed in there so I cut out most of the plastic bumps and humps. This left 2 strips where you can see the body but I just stuffed some 30 minute flares in there.

In my compartment I keep a fire extinguisher, 30 foot - 3" strap, 2 shackles, 2 hitch pins, 2 pairs of gloves, coreless roll of TP, multi meter, siphon kit, duct tape, jb weld, quick steel, flares, 100' of 550 cord, small collapsible 1 liter water bladder and a space blanket.

It's not super accessible but it's out of the way for my everyday use. If it were floating around or in the actual passenger area it would either get mangled or moved because it was in the way.

Ah ha! So ive just decided to keep it in the rear compartment, where the jumper cables should be in the little straps. It fits nicely and I had to lift the extinguisher to get the jumper cables in so I could close it. I just got a deal on 12 extinguishers for 2$ per from a hotel because apparently there is a law saying they must replace them every so often. So looks like I'm going to play with a few :D :loco:

You want to be able to access that fire extinguisher as quickly as possible. When you have a vehicle fire, tenths of a second can make the difference between a few scorched wires and your truck burning to the ground. Whether or not the extinguisher is an eyesore should be a distant second consideration.

I have mine on my roll bar in the back. It's too far away. I'm going to mount it on the front of the drivers seat, underneath my legs.

I have mine on the side of the tunnel. Very easy to access, in direct sight, so if there IS a fire, anyone can see it and grab it.
