Platinum trim's painted flares look much better than the gloss or matte black flares on the other trims.

Dunno if I'm a fan of the automatic running boards tho...

Personally I think the painted flares lack contrast. My state is already filled with new Tacomas and the TRD Off-Road with the matte black flares looks really nice.

It's ugly IMO. The front end really looks bad, at least in this picture, don't care for the square wheel wells either.

Clicking through links on those links, the new SR5 gets 17" wheels, while the TRD OR Premium (and likely the regular TRD OR) now gets 18's. Why?? Why put larger wheels and less tire on the OFFROAD trim?? Or maybe the iForce MAX requires 18's, maybe it has larger brakes?

So my question is, are the new 2025 4 Runners shipping, or is this just a production model to get the buying public interested in what is coming in the future. Since it has no window sticker with a price, I feel it can't be sold at this time. I purchased a new 2024 in Jan. of this year because I want an Old Style 4 Runner for now, but it will be a few years before I decide on another and that's if I want to purchase a new one. My biggest decision with be over the 4 cylinder turbo that is now the standard engine in the new models, not sold on that engine as of yet. I want to see how this engine holds up in time, The Car Care Nut videos on YouTube says, the turbos will defiantly cost you more to maintain and repair cost will be more because it's a turbo.

This is definitely just a pre-production, possibly hand-built demo car, like the early cars reviewers got. That being said, proper production is probably starting roughly now.

Personally dislike the running boards, and am I the only one that doesn't like the navy interior? Also the big 4Runner badge in the back is... not my jam.

yeah, I think I would de-badge that 4runner badge if I got one...but badge the new "Landcruiser" with the Prado badge.

De-badging a vehicle reminds me of back in the day when the new 1968 Camaro came out, I was the body ship manager for a large DFW Chevrolet dealership and a customer purchased a new Camaro Convertible and wanted the emblems remove as he wanted nothing on the vehicle that said, Chevrolet, Camaro, engine size, whatever. We gave him a price and naturally it was too high for him to pay and I was personally glad he didn't want to pay the price. All being said, he removed the emblems and filled the holes with Bondo and touched up the Bondo with some touchup paint, of course it looked like S _ _ _, but he was so pleased of his work. I'd see the car around town and in the shop and it always made me think how stupid some people really are. Now I'm not calling those who want to remove emblems on their vehicles today stupid, because today's vehicle the emblems are stuck on with sticky tape and removing them is easily done and the paint is not disturbed. I'm even guilty of changing out some emblems for something more to my liking.
