HI all, I just bought a 97 SR5, not new to wrenching on 4x4s but I am new to yota's it has 235k on the clock and smokes on start-up. I plan on rebuilding motor and was wondering what engine kit I should use.

First off WELCOME to T4R,

As I'm sure you will find out you can ask about anything here and get strait answers, and most likely it has been done here with step by step build pictures to back it. I say punch it 30 over and rebuild her and you will be solid. In the end it is still a yota.

Welcome to T4R. There are plenty of guys with infinite knowledge on this forum. Unfortunately I am not one of those guys, and can't give any advice on engine rebuilds. But nice job in grabbing a yota.. :thumb3:
