First Aid Kits

Mostly everyone has a first aid kit in their vehicle but my question is this:

I live in Las Vegas where it does get hot and inside my vehicle gets even hotter, what equipment is the best to put and leave in my FAK? Kit that will not dry out or become useless when it sits in a hot car.

I to have been looking for one. The first aid kit they put in my patrol vehicle always has issues with packets exploding due to heat (115+ here).

Bandages, splints, and clotting agents don't tend to dry out. I have basically three kits, one that stays in the T4R, and two that do not. the one that stays in, is mainly the stuff that heat doesn't affect much. Then I have a larger kit that is fairly comprehensive that I put in when I'm wheeling, hunting or on a trip. It have everything except airways because I'm not technically qualified to use them and it would go beyond good samaritan laws if I tried and screwed up. Then I have an individual trauma kit that can fit in a BDU pocket (it's usually in my pack)

you just have to be judicious about grabbing them as part of your normal routines...

I also live in Vegas and have had the same question about a vehicle FAK. Has anyone ever created some sort of insulated tube or container? I thought about buying some large-diameter PVC tubing and capping one end. Then I'd put in another smaller PVC tube and fill the space between the two tubes with high-heat silicone. The other end would have a screwable cap to get to the contents in the inner tube.
